The Warriors were founded in 1871 and have always been based in Worcester moving to their long standing home at Bevere in 1954, they left Bevere for Sixways Stadium, Pershore lane, Hindlip, Worcester WR3 8ZE in 1975. Their present home for which a £23 million development programme was announced in 2006 thanks to their backer Cecil Duckworth. This will produce a health club with fitness centre and swimming pool, fully tarmacced park and ride area, and expanded capacity, estimated to be 13,000.
Worcester Shirt Colours
Worcester play their home games in blue and gold strip with their emblam a shield. The shirt has been pulled on by some top names in the game for example; Pat Sanderson who was also captain of England, Shane Drahm, Kai Horstmann, Chris Horsman, Thomas Lombard, Andy Gomarsall, and Thinus Delport from South Africa.
The Warriors have not yet won any honours at the top flight but still hold the record of winning all their 26 games in the year of promition from Division 1 to the Premier leage in 2003/4. They had a strong showing in the top flight in their first season but 2006/7 provved a harder task.
