The USA Rugby men's national team also known by the nickname of the Eagles, played their first international against Australia in march 1912 with a narrow loss 12-8. The Eagles play their home games in the sunshine State of California at either the Santa Clara or Stanford Stadiums both the homes for college rugby.

The Eagles play their home games in strip of blue shirts with red white and blue sleeves, the logo is an Eagles head with a rugby ball. The shirt has been worn with pride in reaching the finals of the Rugby world Cup in 1987,1991, 1995, 2003 and 2007. To date they have never progressed past the preliminary stages and we cannot see that changing in the foreseeable future as they still lose the best athletes to either American Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey or Baseball.
