The Six Nations Championship or RBS 6 Nations as it is called whilst sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, is an annual international rugby union competition held between six European sides: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. The winner of the RBS 6 Nations is often seen as being the unofficial European Champions.

History

The RBS 6 Nations came into existence in 2000 when Italy joined the original 5 Nations contest, which has been running since 1910 although it goes back to the home Nations playing each other from 1883. The competition has had two breaks as it was not played during either of the World wars.

Six Nations Shirts

Six Nations rugby style shirt is a dark blue shirt with white collar the left breast holds the Six Nations logo with the number six embossed on the right.
