The Cornish Pirates are a professional rugby union team who play in the English National Division One, and are the senior Cornish rugby club. The club was formed in 1945 and was originally known as Penzance & Newlyn RFC. The Pirates play their home games in the 9,000 capacity Camborne Recreation Ground, Camborne, Cornwall having moved from the Mennaye Field in Penzance their original home.

The Pirates wear strip comprising a black shirt with red shoulders and the logo is a pirate with a patch over his left eye. The away shirt is white with yellow shoulders, black sleeves and red collar. The Pirates have a strong fan base in Cornwall and home games are often a riot of colour with all ages dressing up.
