JD Sports buys Canterbury Europe

Sportswear firm JD Sports Fashion has bought the European arm of the rugby shirt specialists Canterbury, which was in administration. JD Sports is paying £6.5m for Canterbury Europe, as well as the global rights to the Canterbury brand. Nottingham Rugby Club in precarious position after ground share collapse

Nottingham Rugby Club officials have said they could be left homeless after Notts County Football Club told them they can no longer play at Meadow Lane. Sportswear firm Canterbury Europe in administration

The European arm of sportswear firm Canterbury has gone into administration with the loss of 72 jobs in the UK. Canterbury Europe, based in Stockport, is best known for its rugby shirts, and supplies teams including the Scottish national side, Wasps and Leinster.
