Week three of the Air new Zealand Cup has not thrown up any surprises for the leading sides.  Except that we did not expect Auckland to win by such a large margin over Waikato, though we did expect a high scoring game.  We also expected Canterbury to have an easier win against Otago. So we now only have two unbeaten sides in Auckland who also have maximum points and Canterbury who could rue the missing of the bonus this week on 14. Hawkes Bay take third ahead of Waikato. Bay of Plenty prop up the table with  Manawatu joining them on nil points. Next weeks match’s only really throw up one good contest with Canterbury facing Wellington.  We see home advantage being crucial and this should be another close win for Canterbury.  Auckland should achieve the bonus win against Southland as long as they are not complacent.
