Former England hooker Steve Thompson is to take up a coaching and consultancy role with French side Brive. Steve was forced to retire from playing in April because of a serious neck injury, and prior to this he had been approached in January to move to Brive as a player.  It is great to hear that he has a future in the sport after playing, only thing is he has to learn French as part of the deal.  It must be a big move as Steve spent all his playing career at Northampton.  We wish him well in France and it will be interesting to see who he recruits to join the club.
