Edinburgh return to the fold

Edinburgh have ended their rift with the Scottish Rugby Union and pledged to allow 12 players to attend training with the national squad.  It is great news to see that commonsense has prevailed and the rift ended.

A disciplinary panel ruled the club broke rules by stopping players joining World Cup training earlier this month. So it was Edinburgh who were seen as being at fault. But the penalty was only a censure, so Edinburgh withdrew their notice of resignation made last week, and the SRU accepted the request.

Lets hope this is the end of the matter and it does not disrupt the national sides World Cup.
