Wasps win a fantastic Heineken final
We saw all the thunder from the Southern Hemisphere on Saturday in the Super 14 final, which the Bulls won 20-19. Then on Sunday the Northern Hemisphere showed just what a game could be put on here. Leicester having thrashed Wasps last time they met were way out in front as favourites to take the treble, but Wasps had other ideas. The game was taken to Leicester right from the start and there was no doubt the best team on the day won through. I think it is a bit hard on Leicester that the after match comments even from Pat Howard was that they did not turn up. Wasps just had the game plan, fire power and total commitment from 1 to 15 to turn the tables. You could say that Wasps did a Leicester on Leicester, with the convincing win 25-9. Whatever the game had everything you could want in a final. Fantastic and good news that it’s all on for the English and French clubs to take part next season. Bring it on.
Wasps and Leicester Shirts.
It just shows how popular the Heineken Cup is. Both teams shirts are sold out in most sizes at present so if you are looking to purchase you will have to wait for new stocks to come in. I suppose with so many going to the match everyone was looking to get the shirts, guess everyone missed the trick on this one. Great to see our game is becoming more and more popular and far more exciting than the dull Football Cup final.
Bath and Clermont Shirts
Well both the clubs who fought out an exciting Challenge Cup final and with a vastly smaller number attending than the Cup game between wasps and Leicester their shirts are still in stock. Whatever rugby shirts are great casual wear and it does not have to be a club you support that makes you buy their strip. Just colours that look good. Certainly both these looked good on the field and the French deserved their win 22-16.
