Bulls make it clean sweep for the South African franchises

Following the Sharks success we then saw the second South African side book a finals place in a game which was dominated by pure power from 1-15 in the Bulls side. The Crusaders had no answer and lost shape and discipline going down 27-12 to a feast of penalties. The Crusaders were still in it at half time at 15-6, but had not really looked like they would breach the Bulls line. Very disappointing for us as we had tipped the Crusaders to take the win. But full marks to the Bulls they stopped play at the tight drive and controlled the tackle area out wide, never letting the Crusaders vaunted backs settle or find space. What a weekend of rugby it turned out to be for the power game having started with the annihilation of Gloucester by Leicester to claim their second trophy of the season.
