Following on from the new ground opening in April of 2006. Basingstoke had a lunch and then the official opening of the new stand to complete the ceremonies following years of hard work on the 23rd of September 2006. Unfortunately the opposition on the day Cleve spoiled the proceedings by beating Basingstoke 53-24.
