Six Nations Summary
Well what a Six Nations that was this year. France won the crown but Ireland ran them close all the way.
What do the results tell us for the World Cup. First one is that the line between winning and losing is a very fine one and you cannot afford to step off the pace at all. Ireland lost to France because they could not close the game out. England were blitzed in Ireland because they were off the pace. They then went on and did very much the same thing to France at Twickenham. Wales went on to turn the tables on England and out gunned them at the Millennium Stadium allowing Hook to control the game with a master class at 10. So what of Italy, they are not up with the rest but closing however still lack the pace in their backs to threaten on a regular basis. Scotland can still turn up but need all their top players fit and available if they are to compete up front. So apart from New Zealand this should be a very interesting and close to call Rugby World Cup in France later in the year. Lets hope next years Six Nations will be as exciting and go right to the wire.
