Basingstoke storm to their highest points win of the season. Playing against opposition who never gave up, Stoke stayed focused from start to finish and were well worth this high scoring win.
The visitors had the first chance of taking points when the third penalty in as many minutes allowed the visitors to go for a shot at goal. This was missed and the tone for the day set as Dave Lambert opened the scoring for Basingstoke on 7 minutes converted by Mike Goodall. Stoke went on to score a further 3 tries in the first half through Simon Humberstone, Dave Lambert with his second and Skipper Ross Stirling. All converted by Mike Goodall so 28-0 half time.
The second half try fest doubled as Basingstoke posted 8 tries through Jamie Fish, Simon Appleby with 2 one after the other, George Scott, Myles Rutherford, Dave Lambert with his hat-trick, Grant Murdock and finally Ollie Rogers. Mike Goodall converted all bar on giving the final score of:
