This was another match which Basingstoke could and should have It was always going to be a tight contest but Stoke had the majority of possession and territory but did not score the points. The first score did come on 25 minutes to Jamie Fish with Simon Humberstone converting. Stoke then let the visitors in for a try and penalty and a lead of 7-8 at half time.
The second half saw more of the same as Stoke pressure was not converted to points but the visitors was and they moved further ahead. Simon Humberstone reduced the deficit with a penalty bringing the core to 10-13 but a final penalty to Weston saw the final score of:
