Premier Week One results and comment

Bath Rugby 29 - 15 Worcester Warriors
Bath controlled this game pretty much throughout, leading 19-10 at half-time, a sign that things could be on the up at the Rec, But Ruddick must hope it will improve at home for Worcester in week 2.

Harlequins 35 - 27 London Irish
Twickenham hosted this match and Quins were fastest out of the blocks, leading 15-6 at half-time. The signs are that both sides will compete this season.

London Wasps 19 - 29 Saracens Twickenham
The second of the Twickenham fixtures saw Saracens take control against a Wasps side which was obviously missing the World Cup absentees.

Bristol Rugby 13 - 26 Leicester Tigers
Bristol started this game brightly and held the lead 13-10 at half-time, but Leicester had other ideas and took control in the second half. Bristol will struggle to repeat last seasons highs.

Leeds Carnegie 24 - 49 Gloucester Rugby
Leeds held a narrow lead 19-18 at half time. Then we had the Vainikolo show and Leeds fell away. They must still be favourites for a return to division one.
