On the 8th April 2006. Basingstoke RFC’s new ground was opened by Leroy Angel the new President of the RFU and a staunch Hampshire and Winchester RFC supporter in front of several hundred supporters and local dignitaries. Basingstoke then went on to produce a good display in sunny weather to beat visitors Weston-Super-Mare 16-10.
